KORODUR® - proven worldwide.
Since 1936, KORODUR has been a specialist in the production of mineral hard materials for the installation of heavy-duty, cementitious industrial floors. More than 300 million m² of KORODUR industrial flooring have been installed worldwide. Probably the best reference. KORODUR is the term for industrial flooring.
The company KORODUR WESTPHAL HARTBETON GmbH & Co. KG was founded on February 13, 1936 by Werner Westphal in Berlin. In 1969, the KORODUR Group became the property of the Heckmann family. In 1978, KORODUR moved its headquarters from Berlin to Amberg/Bavaria.
Since the end of the 1990s, KORODUR has also gained a foothold in the field of decorative exposed screeds on a cementitious mineral basis. Through intensive research and the development of special dry-mix mortars for drinking water tank renovation that meet the highest quality standards in the drinking water sector, KORODUR has diversified into another special segment. Production takes place at the plants in Bochum-Wattenscheid, Freihung/Bavaria and Hanover-Misburg. However, the highlight of the diversification policy was the decision at the end of the 1990s to start the production and distribution of bentonite cat litter: a completely new product line in a completely new industry with completely different structures!
Since its foundation in 1936, KORODUR has been active abroad. Even the founder of the company maintained intensive business relations with countries such as Italy, Israel, Brazil and South Africa. The KORODUR Group is proud to be able to continue these long-standing, successful and, above all, trusting export relationships and to have even expanded them, e.g. as early as 1978 to the Southeast Asia region. Together with KORODUR International GmbH, founded in 1976, KORODUR has built up an international sales network that extends across all continents. Today, we have business relationships with over 40 countries!
In 1995, KORODUR ENGINEERING (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD. was founded to carry out special projects in Southeast Asia. In this context, special attention is paid to three special properties that KORODUR has realized in Singapore: Woodbridge Hospital Singapore, with the distribution of 65,000 m² of Erlus clay roof tiles, Temasek Polytechnic Singapore with the installation of 44,000 m² of patinated copper roof, and Tuas Checkpoint, at the border crossing from Singapore to Malaysia, with the installation of 66,000 m² of titanium zinc roof.
For more than 75 years, KORODUR has been acting and operating successfully in the spirit of the triad of consistency, credibility and continuity.
