KORODUR Exposed Screed Copetti Floor KCF

KORODUR Westphal Hartbeton GmbH & Co. KG

Description

mineral KORODUR exposed screed

in marbled, smoothed look

KCF 05 and KCF 08 are factory-produced, mineral, coloured dry building materials based on KORODUR hard materials in accordance with DIN 1100 (Group A) for the production of smoothed, decorative exposed screeds in a marbled look in a layer thickness of 15 to max. 70 mm, depending on the construction. KCF 05 and KCF 08 are laid in one or two layers in accordance with

  • DIN 18560-2 Screeds and heated screeds on insulating layers
  • DIN 18560-3 Composite screeds with KORODUR HB 5 adhesive bridge (see data sheet)
  • DIN 18560-4 Screeds on separation layer

KCF 05 is also available as a faster-curing variant as KCF 05 rapid (with volume-stable binder on a ternary basis).

More Over

Application

For the production of smoothed, decorative exposed screeds for sales rooms, museums, showrooms, boutiques, foyers, office and administrative buildings, restaurants, galleries, etc.

Properties

:
  • resistant to mechanical stress
  • ,
  • mineral,
  • durable,
  • non-slip
  • ,
  • chloride-free
  • ,
  • physiologically and ecologically harmless,
  • consistent quality due to quality assurance in accordance with DIN EN 13813

Processing

  • Substrate: Prepare the substrate as C25/30 load-bearing concrete or CT-C35-F5 screed, e.g. by milling and/or shot blasting. Any existing cracks, breakouts and damaged joints must be professionally repaired. Surface tensile strength ≥ 1.5 N/mm2 for trafficked surfaces or ≥ 1.0 N/mm2 for non-trafficked surfaces. The substrate must be load-bearing, firm, clean, dry and free of loose parts, oils, greases or other adhesion-reducing impurities. The requirements of DIN 18365 and DIN 18560-3 apply. Only cementitious concrete systems according to strength class C25/30 are to be used as load-bearing concrete. Only cementitious and low-shrinkage screed systems are to be used as load-bearing screed, layer thickness at least 65 mm. A minimum strength class of CT-C35-F5 in a structure-tight consistency must be selected, e.g. using the volume-stable quick-screed KORODUR FSCem Screed or the faster-curing screed binder KORODUR FSCem (see data sheet).
  • Processing: The prepared substrate (concrete) is then thoroughly pre-wetted, but puddles are avoided. Apply KORODUR HB 5 adhesive bridge to the matt damp surface in accordance with the system (see data sheet). Mix KCF dry building material with the specified amount of water in plastic consistency for approx. 3 minutes and apply fresh to the still moist adhesive bridge, peel off in alignment and rub off in a timely manner using a plate smoothing machine to close the pores and repeatedly smooth mechanically (leaf troweling machine) until a shiny structure is achieved. Edge areas are to be smoothed separately by hand smoothing.

Aftertreatment

Different temperatures influence the solidification or hardening process. The KCF exposed screed must be protected from drying out too quickly in accordance with DIN EN 13670 / DIN 1045-3. For the post-treatment of the exposed screed layer, we recommend using suitable covers (e.g. 400 g painter's cardboard). A sensible alternative to conventional final construction cleaning is the KOROCLEAN process (see separate system data sheet).

Joints

The joint grid must be specified by the planner. All joints in the hardened load-bearing concrete are to be taken over in the exposed screed layer. The exposed screed must be separated from rising components (walls, columns, etc.).

In

order to achieve lasting quality and an attractive appearance, the entire surface must be cleaned deep into the pores after sufficient drying and hardening and then treated. Various products are available on request.

Coloured

products are made exclusively from natural raw materials. Accordingly, color fluctuations cannot be ruled out. Due to the printing technique, deviations from the original colour are possible. We recommend creating a test area beforehand. Coloured floors, especially light colours, should not be worked on with aluminium tools such as screed battens and trowels, as this can lead to undesirable discolouration. Here, for example, only plastic wings should be used for smoothing. Fine cracks (e.g. octopus tears) or shrinkage deformations within the system (decorative cement screed) cannot be avoided in principle and therefore do not constitute a defect in this respect.
