KORODUR Epoxy Resin Primer TXPK

KORODUR Westphal Hartbeton GmbH & Co. KG

Description

2-Component Epoxy Resin Primer

for Self-Leveling Coatings

KORODUR TXPK is a 2-component epoxy resin primer for self-leveling coatings. Epoxy resin special primer for self-leveling coatings such as TRU Self-Leveling, TRU PC, TRU SP, NEODUR Level products, etc. KORODUR TXPK meets the guidelines of the AgBB with regard to the lowest possible indoor air emissions, for use in commercial areas as a primer on suitable concrete and screed substrates for self-leveling coatings.

More Over

Application

KORODUR TXPK is used for the priming of concrete and screed surfaces where subsequent moisture effects on the back must be expected.

Properties

  • against the effects of moisture on the back,
  • tested in accordance with AgBB
  • ,
  • practically emission-free
  • , practically odourless,
  • very good chemical resistance,
  • very good mechanical properties
  • , physiologically harmless after curing,

processing

  • Substrate: Prepare the substrate by milling and/or shot blasting before installation. Any existing cracks, breakouts and damaged joints must be professionally repaired. The substrate must be load-bearing, firm, clean, dry, crack-free and free of loose parts, oils, greases or other adhesion-reducing impurities. Surface tensile strength: ≥ 1.5 N/mm2, concrete residual strength max. 6 M.-%.
  • Processing: Mix KORODUR TXPK components A + B homogeneously in the correct mixing ratio with a suitable, slow-running agitator at 300 - 400 rpm for approx. 3 minutes. The material temperature should be at least 15 °C. Then repot the mixed material into a clean container and mix again for about 1 minute. Apply mixed material immediately to the surface with a rubber squeegee and work intensively into the substrate with a paint roller. The surfaces are then completely sprinkled with fire-dried quartz sand with a grain size of Ø 0.4 - 0.8 mm. Before, during and after application, pay attention to the dew point distance (+ 3 °C).
  • Damp concrete or screed surfaces: The concrete or screed surfaces can be matt damp, but must not have a visible water film or pore water. A 2nd operation must always be carried out, as well as in the case of subsequent rear moisture penetration (double application quantity). The priming work must only be carried out at constant or falling temperatures, otherwise bubbles will form, i.e. leakage.

Exposure

to UV radiation leads to a change in colour.
