KORODUR Adhesive Bridge HB 5

Application

For the production of composite screeds, e.g. KORODUR or NEODUR industrial, exposed and other screeds on hardened concrete. Particularly proven in combination with the KORODUR-KOROTAN industrial flooring system (see data sheet). Insensitive to possible substrate moisture. For indoor and outdoor use.

Processing

• Substrate: The load-bearing concrete (at least as C25/30, surface tensile strength ≥ 1.5 N/mm2) must be prepared, e.g. milling and shot blasting. For a force-fit composite, the surface must be crack-free, even, free of loose and crumbly components and ultra-fine mortar enrichments, as well as rough and open-pored. The requirements of DIN 18365 and DIN 18560 apply. The flatness should comply with DIN 18202, Table 3, Line 3. Thoroughly pre-wet load-bearing concrete one day before installation, avoid puddling.

• Processing: Mix KORODUR HB 5 with the specified amount of water with a slow-running whisk for at least 2 - 3 minutes until a soft-pulped sludge is formed. Do not use overwatered material. Spread the ready-mixed adhesive bridge on the prepared substrate (the pre-wetted load-bearing concrete must have dried on the surface with a matt damp surface) and brush it up to a thickness of approx. 1 - 2 mm with a hard street broom. Care must be taken to ensure that no pale discoloration / overwatering occurs. The screed to be installed is immediately laid on the KORODUR HB 5 bonding bridge, which is still fresh, in order to counteract premature drying of the bonding bridge.

Joints

All joints in the substrate must be removed. The composite screed must be separated from rising components (walls, columns, etc.).

Store in a dry place like cement. Shelf life approx. 12 months.
