KOROTEX after-treatment agents

KORODUR Westphal Hartbeton GmbH & Co. KG

Description

KOROTEX is a liquid, solvent-free acrylic resin dispersion and, after drying, produces a transparent and slightly shiny film and effectively protects the industrial floor, concrete or cement screed against premature drying out and thus prevents possible damage (cracking, surface damage) due to a lack of aftertreatment.

More Over

Application

KOROTEX is used as a post-treatment of freshly produced KORODUR industrial floors, concrete surfaces and cement-bound screeds, see also DIN 18353 and DIN 18560.

Properties

  • Ready-to-use
  • Optimal hydration course
  • High barrier effect / high evaporation protection
  • Minimizes the formation of premature shrinkage cracks
  • Uniform protective film
  • Improvement of the strength properties in the layer close to the surface

Processing

  • Substrate: Puddles and puddles of water must be removed before starting the aftertreatment.
  • Processing: KOROTEX should always be stirred well before application. KOROTEX must be sprayed on as a fine mist immediately after the last smoothing process when the matt moisture of the KORODUR industrial floor or concrete or cement screed enters the surface of the KORODUR industrial floor, concrete or cement screed. The sooner KOROTEX is applied to the matt damp or deactivated surface, the more effective the protection. Similar to the paint spraying process, care must be taken not to spray too much KOROTEX on one and the same area in order to avoid visually detrimental staining. The fresh KOROTEX post-treatment film on the surface initially appears white. After drying, the result is a transparent, slightly shiny film. Commercially available sprayers with appropriate nozzles are suitable for spraying. After use, they can be easily cleaned with clear water. Do not use sprayers that were previously used for silicone or formwork release agents! The application with a lambskin roller is alternatively possible, but this results in higher consumption. If a subsequent coating, an organic-based coating (e.g. acrylic resin, synthetic resin dispersion) or markings are applied, preliminary tests are unavoidable. Reactive resin products (e.g. EP or PU systems) are not recommended.
