The concept of structuring the various areas such as the base, beam and head strengthens the identity of the overall ensemble, acts as an urban prelude to Baakenhafen and also acts as an address within the area.
In the "caesuras" - which structure the building - special uses are situated. Start-up and HCU offices on the first floor, access to the roof terrace with adjoining office and meeting area on the seventh floor, and the 360° bar on the top floor. In addition, the setting off of the tower acts as a characteristic sign, which can be seen far beyond the boundaries of the property.
Two materials characterise the external appearance of the office building. The opaque areas are clad with dark-coloured EOUITONE façade panels, while the transparent areas are articulated as extruded boxes with baffle panes that take into account noise protection while allowing the windows to be opened.
The grid structuring the façade follows the internal structure, with the opaque elements tapering towards the top both in the area of the parapet and in the area of the columns. On the one hand, this measure creates an independent appearance, and on the other hand, it increases the value of the upper floors, while at the same time being economically viable, as well as an energetically effective, balanced ratio of opaque to transparent surfaces. The ground floor zone takes up the façade principle, forming large-format "shop windows" that are flush with the opaque façade. The 360° bar on the roof allows for a variety of references to HafenCity, Baakenhafen and Hamburg's city centre.
