The new building consists of five full floors and a basement with a work café. On the ground floor there are lecture and event rooms as well as the reception with a spacious lounge. The upper floors contain meeting rooms, open-space offices and also separate offices. An exit is planned in front of the lecture and event rooms on the ground floor, from which visitors will have an unobstructed view of the adjacent demo and test site.
The façade consists of floor-to-ceiling mullion-transom facades in the basement and ground floor, as well as floor-to-ceiling glass elements on the upper floors with opening wings alternating with closed surfaces and decorative metal pilaster strips as structural elements.
The building has a gross floor area of approx. 4,320 m² and is planned as a solid reinforced concrete construction with internal reinforced concrete columns and a massive stairwell and supply core for building bracing.
