Gypsum wall panels are solid wall formers made of calcium sulphate and water. Spatial formation with gypsum wall panels represents an independent, regulated construction method, which is referred to as dry solid construction or solid drywall construction, depending on the angle of view: solid due to the monolithic but comparatively light walls, dry due to the surface that is only filled in the joint area or over the entire surface. Plastering work, as is usual in solid construction, is no longer necessary, which results in time and cost advantages. The resistance opposite to a fire can be up to 3 hours due to the crystal water bound in the plates. The comparatively high area-related mass of walls made of gypsum wall panels in this bulk density class and their acoustic decoupling ensure optimised sound insulation.
