With the new centre buildings, the municipality of Derendingen would like to integrate give the existing buildings a new centre. In order to ensure that the large-volume utilisation programme into the context, the proposed urban development between a compact merger of all three areas of use (multi-purpose hall, school and administration) in favour of more generous outdoor spaces and a differentiated design of the buildings and their Surface design as a reference to the surrounding buildings. This creates a building that provides a dignified and orderly framework for the existing solitary buildings and, through its urban setting, offers three squares of different quality Trains.
The New Centre is an open house whose references and insights relate to the respective squares. Large cantilevers point to the entrances and invite you to Lingering: The citizen-oriented administration and the entrances to the auditorium and the foyer of the Multi-purpose hall is oriented towards the large central square, the schoolyard spans between the existing school building, multi-purpose hall and new school building, and the outdoor sports facilities and the temporary parking spaces flank the Building.
The new central buildings can be read in three scales: The areas of use (multi-purpose hall, school and administration) are visible to the outside by the different materialization and give the large volume a sense appropriate to the location. Scale. The vertically structured façades in exposed concrete and glass parts of the building, however, then again enter into a dialogue with each other and connect the uses to a whole. A third scale level superimposes the second, vertical plane with the Offset of the window levels in the base floor and by the suggestion of window flanges with a horizontal ordering principle.
