Our initial idea was to implement a building into the urban fabric regardless of a specific building site, which on the one hand took into account our personal need to reconcile work, family and friends and, on the other hand, had the potential to be a lively and innovative part of the city. We wanted to create a place that is both an anchor point and has the flexibility to adapt to modern changes. After a long search, the opportunity arose to purchase a plot of land in the extended city center of Saarbrücken together with an architect friend, which could meet our specifications to build a "townhouse".
