Between a farmstead and an open field, in a topographical edge, lies the long and very narrow house, sometimes two-storey, sometimes single-storey depending on the direction of approach. Like in the belly of a ship, there is a hall on the courtyard side in a pedestal-like hollow body, above which the roof stretches over the open living room like the rigging over the ship's deck: the living room is almost only a screened veranda, while tight cabins are arranged at the fronts. Fortunately, it can be closed with ponderous wooden gates, through which the sunlight seeps in between the joints of the wooden boards like the balmy wind.
