The project was created as a cooperation between the offices Architekturbüro Huber and Diezinger Architekten.

The shape of the 3-storey building responds spatially to the listed buildings of the former University of Education as well as to the open landscape in the east. The new building forms an inner courtyard with the old building, which represents the desired private outdoor area. The newly designed courtyard is intended to create a dialogue between the new building and the existing buildings of the former university. The new building is to be integrated into the campus concept of the complex through its shape and materiality. The entrance is formed by a cantilevered head building, which houses the general rooms for the common area, such as meetings and lectures, as well as leisure rooms for parties, games, television and music on the upper floor. The location of the sound-intensive rooms is thus decoupled from the apartments by the head building in order to avoid noise disturbances.
