Since 1830, bricks, clinker, bricks, terracottas as well as building ceramics and ceramic decorative elements have been produced in a wide variety in the heart of Saxony. As a brick manufacturer, we combine tradition, innovation and competence.
Our company has its own high-quality raw materials - red-burning clays from Lommatzscher Pflege and cream-white clays from the Meissen region. Through different mixtures, an immensely diverse colour spectrum can be produced, between creamy white, yellow, red to blue-brown, typical of coal firing kilns.
The fire takes place in Germany's only gas-heated counter-rotating tunnel kiln. Through its ring kiln-like kiln atmosphere, it creates this natural variety of colours.
Production
Extensive experience with historical manufacturing methods and technologies, as well as the natural variety of the Graupzig clay and clay pit are almost ideal for high-quality, diverse and widely branched Brick "manufactory" production.
A modern extruded brick production is supplemented and completed with original handmade. Thus, production rests on several "pillars". The in-house model and mould making allows the necessary adjustments and thus creates short response times in order processing.
Increasingly, various sawing jobs made of extruded bricks, which are sawn into slips, angle slips and other brick cuts, are in demand and carried out.
For classic clay construction / half-timbered renovation, we produce particularly stable clay plasters and clay masonry mortars from our raw materials and regional crushed sands. For interior walls, various formats are produced as solid clay bricks + self-supporting wall elements. For use in exterior walls, wood clay brick has proven itself over many years as an ecological building material.
