A simple prefabricated concrete hall of 85 meters in length and located directly on the tracks is to be divided in two and converted into a cultural center: while the larger section houses a concert hall, gastronomy and externally accessed rehearsal rooms, the remaining area will become the indoor skate park of the Stadtjugendring. In order to save costs, the outer skin of the building remains largely untreated, except for a change in colour and an inevitable waterproofing of the roof.

As a result, the subdivision and lining of the interior becomes the main theme: the skate hall and event room occupy the ends of the elongated block, while a two-storey supply core in the middle of the building accommodates all specified uses and ancillary rooms. Its floors are shifted against each other in such a way that the skaters have a grandstand and the club visitors a covered bar area. While the skate hall is to be bright and flooded with light during the day, the concert and event space will become a multifunctional black box with structured walls and ceilings, aligned with a peep box stage. All existing roller shutters will be replaced by fixed glazing or doors.
