The ensemble, consisting of two cubic building sections, is located directly next to the new district park. The southern part houses the kindergarten, the secondary school and the team sports classes; the northern part houses the primary school, cafeteria, singing hall and the library. The triple sports hall also adjoins here.

The four-storey building has different floor heights depending on the use. The cluster-like room groups are arranged on the upper floors, each consisting of two to four classrooms, one to two group rooms and a common anteroom. They form independent areas, "small schools" within the large school, so to speak.

The defining element of the façade design is regularly arranged concrete pilaster strips (slightly protruding vertical reinforcement of the wall), which are used for all facades of the building – including the gymnasium – and thus connect the different parts of the building with each other in terms of design.
