The property of the Josefine Kramer House in Tettnang is located at the eastern end of a green green with various public uses, which runs in an east-west direction through the city of Tettnang. The place is characterized by its proximity to the St. Gallus Church.

The new building complements the existing buildings on the adjacent streets with design elements that can be found in the urban space. Based on the functional contents, a building is designed that creates a reciprocal relationship in ground plan and elevation plan with open and closed elements, communicative rooms lit through the house, as well as darker, quiet rooms. The folded roof relief made of sloping roof surfaces and the sculptural clinker brick façades with large-format alternation between surface and opening, as well as glazing set far back, show the building as a self-confident building that characterises the new cityscape. By closing the street spaces on three sides, the situation of the garden is naturally developed and the contents of the building are further developed in them.
