In the summer of 2020, the new forum building at the Unterradlberg site was completed. The house, designed as a modular element building, is built according to the same principle as the headquarters in St. Johann in Tirol. It houses an employee restaurant, exhibition, office and seminar rooms.

The Forum in Unterradlberg is now the fifth new building in our series of modular company buildings designed and developed by architect Bruno Moser. Our large plate formats determined the modular concept. However, modular construction does not mean that completely prefabricated room cells of the same dimensions are produced in the factory, which are lined up and stacked together to form a building on the construction site. At EGGER, we take a different approach with modular construction: modularity refers to the always same dimensions of the individual surface elements for walls, ceilings and floors from which buildings are made. The length and width of these surface elements correspond to the maximum format of the OSB 4 TOP panel of 11.40 x 2.80 m. Such a building is therefore also based on the slab format as a construction grid. This is also the case in Unterradlberg.

The eleven-metre-high, rectangular building with external dimensions of just under 23 m by 19.60 m will house a reception area and an employee restaurant on the ground floor. The two upper floors are reserved for an exhibition area as well as offices, training and seminar rooms. An open staircase and an elevator provide access to it. The three-storey timber building is based on a basement made of reinforced concrete. In addition to glued laminate (BS) wood, he uses OSB boards for the columns and the interior of the hollow box girder and timber frame construction (HRB) elements. With the construction grid based on the above-mentioned panel dimensions, the span widths for the 2.80 m wide ceiling and roof elements are specified as 11.40 m on the one hand, and the width of the wall elements as 2.80 m or a multiple of this on the other.
