Both in the selection of raw materials and in the production and transport of wood fibre insulation boards, PAVATEX attaches great importance to energy efficiency and sustainability. The renowned natureplus association honors these efforts: it has awarded the PAVATEX insulation materials its coveted certificate, thus confirming their environmental friendliness and healthy living.
Who we are
The PAVATEX Group, domiciled in Cham (CH), was founded in 1932. Since 2013, products from the new plant in Golbey (F) have been added to the range from the main plant in Cham. PAVATEX employs over 200 people. PAVATEX is the leading manufacturer of high-quality wood fibre insulation systems for modern building envelopes. The diffusion-permeable but airtight PAVATEX wood fibre insulation systems protect against both the cold of winter and the heat of summer. By combining climate protection with living comfort, they represent the perfect building envelope for sustainable construction projects. This makes PAVATEX products the ecological alternative to conventional insulation materials.
SOPREMA, headquartered in Strasbourg (F), acquired the PAVATEX Group on 20 May. The previous shareholders of the PAVATEX Group have sold their company to the SOPREMA Group. As of May 20, 2016, the SOPREMA Group has acquired 100% of the shares of PAVATEX Holding AG and thus controls all companies of the PAVATEX Group.
Founded in 1908 in Strasbourg, SOPREMA is today a globally active specialist in waterproofing and thermal insulation of buildings and infrastructure buildings with 6,260 employees. The Group has 42 production sites in Europe and North America.
SOPREMA is committed to the PAVATEX brand and to Switzerland as a business location. The PAVATEX sales organizations for the core countries of Switzerland, Germany/Austria and France will be integrated into the existing SOPREMA country sales organizations. The PAVATEX works and other functions are gradually integrated into the matrix organization of SOPREMA. This ensures that mutual synergy potentials are used quickly.
