ALUCOBOND

ALUCOBOND® is a façade panel consisting of two aluminium cover sheets and a non-combustible or flame-retardant, mineral-filled core and stands for sustainable construction quality and the highest design standards. The composite structure gives the panel its exceptional bending stiffness and flatness with an extremely low weight.
Aluminium is an excellent lightweight material that is 100% infinitely recyclable and is therefore suitable for very long service lives. Due to the lower aluminium content compared to solid sheet metal, the energy consumption required to produce one square metre is significantly reduced while maintaining the same intrinsic rigidity. The ALUCOBOND® core material consists mainly of mineral components that can also be fully recycled. ALUCOBOND® is used in rear-ventilated façade systems with a high insulating effect, which reduce the heat input in summer or increase the winter cold protection of a building.

ALUCOBOND® is manufactured in Germany in a wide range of surfaces by 3A Composites GmbH in Singen. Since its market launch in 1969, the panels have been used primarily in architecture and for corporate identity programmes, especially for facades, wall and roof cladding. The GmbH is part of the globally active 3A Composites Group. This is part of the listed company Schweiter Technologies, based in Steinhausen, Switzerland, and employs around 4,100 people worldwide.
