What are the advantages?
Technical Information
What is the mass balancing method:
The CO2 footprint is calculated according to the mass balance method. In accordance with the recommendation of "European Aluminium", we use the cut-off approach for the cradle-to-gate CO2 footprint data. This means that we rate both pre- and post-consumer waste as CO2 neutral.
The use of secondary aluminium offers numerous advantages: greenhouse gas emissions are reduced and fossil raw materials are saved, while product quality and properties remain the same. The products can be processed as usual, and neither plants nor processes have to be adapted when processing our ALUCOBOND® composite panels.
ALUCOBOND® circular is available with both a flame-retardant core (technical details ALUCOBOND® PLUS) and a non-combustible core (technical details ALUCOBOND® A2). The product is subject to the availability of recycled aluminium in terms of quantity.
Sustainability rethought
ALUCOBOND® circular is more than a product – it is our contribution to a circular economy and the responsible use of resources. Each panel used helps to increase the proportion of emission-reduced secondary aluminium and to make the vision of a more sustainable construction method a reality.
