SBS Cross-laminated timber PLUS

Schwarzwald Holzbausysteme GmbH

Description

SBS elements are multi-layered and cross-glued building elements made of coniferous wood. They can be produced in large dimensions and are suitable for the production of load-bearing and at the same time space-forming components, such as wall, ceiling and roof panels.

The

structure of longitudinal and transverse board layers, connected by polyurethane glue, reduce the "creation" of the wood due to external influences such as moisture and heat. Wood thicknesses, wood types and surface qualities are tailored to the project conditions and customer requirements. In this way, SBS elements meet the requirements of a modern building material and ensure that wood as a raw material has great potential for the future in the construction industry. In order to achieve the static load-bearing capacity according to specifications, the individual slats are glued together over the entire surface on their broad side. This results in a high load-bearing capacity and flexibility at the same time, as is required in earthquake regions, for example.

The solid wooden building elements can be installed quickly and dry, are fireproof, have a sound- and heat-insulating effect and act as a vapour barrier – the ideal building material for a healthy indoor climate in all four seasons.
