The best stories are those that tell of a great passion. It begins with the enthusiasm for the valuable raw material wood. Adolf Weschle turned his passion for wood into a profession in 1926. The family has been living this passion for five generations.
The creation of wood, how a seed becomes a tree, from care to harvesting to further processing, wood has accompanied me all my life. For me, this infinite raw material is not only a building material, but a living space from which I draw strength and which stimulates the senses.
As a champion among renewable building materials, it combines many properties that are very valuable for us humans, especially in the field of construction, and are beneficial for our well-being and health. Wood awakens our senses, calms and promotes health and ensures a pleasant indoor climate.
Coming from a family of master carpenters, I have the passion for timber construction in my blood, so to speak. It is exciting to see that the building material, back then in my great-grandfather's time, was just as up-to-date as it is today. This arc of tension of an old building material with a great future drives me every day.
The innovative techniques and processing possibilities of wood open up new dimensions in building construction and have long since left the classic log houses behind. Cross-laminated timber construction has great potential and offers solutions to many current and upcoming challenges of our society, such as climatic changes, climate protection, earthquake safety and a shortage of raw materials for a wide variety of building materials. In urban locations where there is a shortage of living space, the lightweight material wood is ideal for simple additions and enables the densification of our cities.
My goal is to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern architecture and to use the raw material wood for functional constructions that bring well-being and satisfaction to our customers
