SWISS KRONO OSB/3 SF-B

SWISS KRONO TEX GmbH & Co. KG

Description

SWISS KRONO OSB/3 SF-B is a further development of the high-performance classic SWISS KRONO OSB/3. Like the "basic model", the flame-retardant version is CE-certified according to DIN EN 13986 and is a perfect wood-based material for load-bearing and stiffening purposes.

Since all wood components are treated with flame retardant during production, the board is also flame retardant after processing and even at the edge. This is a significant advantage over other wood-based materials, which only achieve this by coating the surface.

More Over

SWISS KRONO OSB/3 SF-B is primarily used in commercial construction, especially for façade substructures, but is also used in trade fair and hall construction. Because many people spend time in such public facilities, the requirements for fire protection are particularly high. For example, in schools, nursing homes, clinics, authorities, production and exhibition halls, but also museums, all individual building products must be flame retardant.

In addition to European fire protection requirements for public buildings, SWISS KRONO OSB/3 SF-B also meets the strictest German requirements. Classified in the fire behaviour class B-s1,d0 according to EN 13501-1, formerly B1, this panel meets the increased requirements for public buildings and may be processed there.

The advantages of the OSB/3 SF-B:

  • forms a fire-retardant layer due to charring
  • No further smouldering
  • due to the treatment of the strands also flame-retardant at the edge
  • Easy to work with as standard OSB

processing:

laying, planking

  • In the exterior and interior areas, a gap of at least 3 mm wide expansion space must be planned
  • for planking panelsWhen laying joints for interior walls, there must be an expansion gap to the adjacent component at the joints,
  • taking into account the elongation behavior, the floor-to-ceiling formats are produced undersized (width 1247 mm)

Coating and painting

  • for SWISS KRONO OSB with a ContiFinish® surface, a solvent-based PU (DD) or synthetic resin coating can be
  • usedsanded surfaces are suitable for coating and varnishing like normal wood (varnishes, oils, waxes, glazes...)
  • multi-layer application and intermediate sanding after the first coat is recommended
  • ,
  • the application of at least three coats is recommended
  • ,
  • an absolutely smooth surface can only be achieved by filling
Transport

and handling

  • during transport and assembly protect against high moisture absorption - especially the unprotected edges
  • When lifting, moving and stacking, pay attention to edge protection (especially for N + F panels)
  • according to the building board identification or manufacturer's documentation must be checked on site: thickness, usage class, surface (ground or unsanded), edge design (blunt or N + F)
  • short-term placement of the panels during assembly at a 70-degree angle is possible
  • transport of
  • individual boards is carried out upright

Storage

  • Protect against the effects of high moisture and very high humidity
  • Avoid direct contact with the ground
  • Store outdoors only temporarily and make sure that the stacks are covered with waterproof but diffusion-permeable tarpaulins
  • Always stack panels lying in the stack on pallets or joists (max. distance 600 mm)
  • Always
  • align the joists exactly on top of each other and parallel to the shorter side of the board
  • Maintain flush edge closure (max. edge protrusion 15 mm)

Air conditioning

  • Preconditioning of the panels before installation
  • Storage of the panels for approx. three days under the climatic conditions of the installation site
  • This adaptation to the ambient humidity of the subsequent installation site prevents excessive shrinkage and swelling

Sawing, milling, drilling

  • SWISS KRONO OSB can be machined with all common tools for wood and can be sanded, sawn and drilled like solid wood

Nails, staples, screws, glues

  • SWISS KRONO OSB can be attached to wooden handles and beams with screws, nails or staples.
  • in accordance with the building authority approvals (Z-9.1-618 and Z-9.1-503), DIN 1052 or DIN EN 1995-1-1 (EC 5) must be observed during the execution
