Swegon plasterboard heating/cooling ceiling system VARICOOL UNI

Swegon Germany GmbH

Description

Varicool uni is a water-based heating/cooling ceiling system that works predominantly according to the radiant principle and is characterised by a wide range of application and design options.

More Over

With this design, seamless and directionless ceiling surfaces can be created for special architectural requirements. The construction method adapts to the wishes for flexible room design and difficult room geometries with consistent functionality.

The Varicool uni heating/cooling ceiling system enables a pleasant indoor climate and good room acoustics. Lighting elements and other components such as loudspeakers, sprinklers, etc. can be integrated into the ceiling. Due to the special design principle, there is no need for the fastening profiles for the ceiling cladding in the area of active cooling surfaces. Compared to other gypsum cooling ceiling systems, this means that a larger ceiling area can be activated and a room-specific cooling and heating capacity is available.Structure

of the heating/cooling coils

The factory-installed heating/cooling coils consist of high-quality, machine-made copper tube meanders that are pressed into aluminium thermal profiles and fixed with stabiliser rails. Thanks to the special design of the heating/cooling coils of the Varicool uni system, a high specific heating and cooling capacity (based on the entire ceiling surface) is achievable, as it is possible to activate the ceiling surface over the entire surface (excluding fixtures).

Their special material properties ensure optimal heat transfer. Due to the optimal thermal conductivity, good area-related performance values are achieved. The panels are non-combustible and belong to building material class A2 and can be efficiently processed with conventional drywall tools. In addition to the plasterboard thermoplates described above, there are other ceiling cladding variants to choose from for the individual planking of the heating/cooling registers.

There

are various options for refining the visible surface: filling of the joints and finishes according to differentiated quality levels, paint with opaque emulsion paint.

For acoustically effective surfaces with concealed perforations, special open-pore paints and additional protection against air flow are required. The use of acoustic plasters leads to a reduction in the performance of the cooling ceiling.
