STEKO Timber Building System, Wall Module

Steko Holz-Bausysteme AG

Description

Walls built with STEKO allow you to live ecologically and are like your second skin. Thanks to the large proportion of dry solid wood and natural insulation materials, they are breathable and permeable to diffusion. Compared to conventional construction, STEKO walls do not require vapour barriers, sealing tapes or barrier foils. Solid timber construction thus promotes natural climate balance in summer and winter.

Temperature and humidity control is carried out via the pores and cells of solid wood construction – just like human skin. In winter, the solid STEKO wall serves as a storage mass for the heat, in summer it keeps the interiors pleasantly cool. In combination with the excellent insulating properties, this results in an incomparably pleasant and healthy living environment. The walls feel warm and there is a cosy ambience – without unpleasant building moisture that can often be felt for years. Natural regulation enables ecological living. The STEKO modules are made of pure solid wood, and the STEKO wall structure is designed in such a way that no wood preservatives are required – this is also an important contribution to the well-being of the residents.

More Over

The core of the Steko wall system is a wooden module that can be put together in layers to form entire walls in the simplest way. The individual modules are coupled to each other by a special plug-in bond, so that an optimal connection of the corners and the partition wall connections is also guaranteed. Coordinated end, lintel and beam elements for the different opening types simplify wall construction. Tube-like cables can be routed in the hollow chambers of the Steko module. The subsequent insulation of these hollow chambers ensures efficient thermal insulation. The additional external insulation further improves thermal insulation and predestines the system for the construction of Minergie, low-energy and passive energy houses.

  • ecologically and sustainably
  • easy installation
  • a complete system
  • energy-efficient up to Minergie P level
  • pleasant living climate

The Steko timber construction system is based on a few basic elements, which can be put together quickly and easily. The core piece is the handy basic module weighing approx. 6.5 kg with a length of 640 mm and a height of 320 or 240 mm. The width of all components is 160 mm. In addition to the 4-part module, there are 3-, 2- and 1-part modules.

A threshold is used as the lower end, and a tie-in with a height of 8 cm each as the upper end. With the soffit boards, the system is complete. With these few parts, all load-bearing or non-load-bearing interior and exterior walls of a house can be built.

The horizontal grid is set at 16 cm and the vertical grid at 8 cm. Intermediate steps are also possible. This enables efficient planning with almost unlimited design freedom.
