Natural, ecological and, above all, healthy building with renewable raw materials.

That was Johann Egginger's idea when he founded the company Egginger Naturbaustoffe in 1994.

The first products in the range of the small building materials trade were natural paints, wooden floors and various insulation materials. Continuing to be oriented towards the idea of direct marketing, Johann Egginger also grew flax in his fields, which the manufacturer of flax insulation materials then used as a raw material. There were also trials with hemp and other raw materials, and the vehicles were powered by rapeseed oil from their own cultivation.

Today, the Egginger company has seven employees in production, sales and building materials trading. It is run jointly by Johann and Stephan Egginger. The farm, from which everything originated, is still run by Johann Egginger as a sideline, the Steinhiebl farm is now largely occupied by an exhibition, office and building materials warehouse.
