The THEBAULT Group is an industrial group and a family business that is committed to its regions. As the largest French manufacturer of plywood panels, with a share of almost 50% of national production, the THEBAULT Group is among the top 5 European manufacturers.
Founded in 1953 by Jean THEBAULT, the company processed the poplar that was abundant in the region and sold its sawn timber production locally. The first peeling systems were installed from 1960 onwards: the THEBAULT Group had found its profession as a plywood manufacturer. The diversification of wood species with okoumé imported from Gabon and later with maritime pine accelerated the group's national and later international growth.
The THEBAULT Group, a manufacturer of plywood, is a "medium-sized company" (Entreprise de Taille Intermédiaire, ETI) of the first wood processing. It is historically anchored in rural areas and actively participates in the social and economic activity of the communities in which it is based.
The philosophy of the THEBAULT Group is based on the values of independence, constant investment and respect, which have contributed to its success since its inception.
