We already focus on the sustainable use of resources in production: In addition to the materials known from the glass industry such as quartz sand, soda ash and limestone, more than 50 percent of waste glass is used for our products.
All materials are melted down at temperatures between 1,300 and 1,500 degrees Celsius and spun into fiber webs of different thicknesses and densities. Our special binder is then added to the insulation material to ensure dimensional stability. The mineral wool is then hardened in the hot air stream, removing volatile components. The result is an easy-to-process, versatile insulating material - our climowool glass wool.
