All-glass railing

All-glass railings are railings made of laminated safety glass, in which additional load-bearing rods and posts can be dispensed with. They are usually delivered to the construction site as prefabricated glass construction modules and mounted from above or sideways on the corresponding load-bearing component.

Substructure profiles (building connection elements), which are screwed or welded to the load-bearing component, serve as connecting elements on the building structure. The prefabricated glass construction modules can be up to 6.00 m long and 1.40 m high.

Handrails and covers are available in different materials, dimensions and finishes depending on the system. There are handrails or covers made of both wood and stainless steel, each round, as a round tube or as a U-profile.

The execution of the glazing of all-glass railings was carried out until the introduction of the DIN 18008-4 Glass in the building industry - Design and construction rules - Part 4: Additional requirements for fall-resistant glazing according to the Technical Rules for Fall-Resistant Glazing (TRAV) regulated.
