Sylla Widmann Architectes

Widmann Architects was founded in 2005 by Marc Widmann and has been co-managed by Kristina Sylla Widmann since 2007. In the continuity of this collaboration, they merged to form widmann architectes sàrl in 2014 and Sylla Widmann Architects SA in 2019.

The office develops public and private projects from preliminary design to completion. She regularly participates in competitions. In her practice, she attaches great importance to the concept of the project. The working method developed in the office is a pragmatic research based on exhaustive and concrete productions using several forms of representation. The project is considered a complex evolutionary process that brings together numerous participants in all its phases and dimensions. From the genius of the place to the technical and constructive reality, it is a matter of carrying out all the tasks in parallel to maintain the coherence of the project from the beginning to the end of this process. Since architecture is by definition a collective act, we make sure to set up collaborative processes not only within our office and with our professional partners, but also with the project owner and users. It is indeed a matter of uniting around the project, its qualities, its possibilities, and advancing it to its realization.
