Founded in 1988 by Ben van Berkel and Caroline Bos, UNStudio is an international network. It specializes in architecture, interior design, product design, urban development, and infrastructure projects.
The office has six international offices in Amsterdam, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Dubai, Melbourne and Austin and employs over 300 people from 27 countries.
The main focus is on the realization of projects that contribute to a greener, healthier and smarter built environment. Social, sustainable and ethical responsibility is at the heart of UNStudios.
Their portfolio covers the entire spectrum from individual buildings to airports and bridges to entire cities.
The architecture of UNStudio has received many awards. In addition to receiving the European Concrete Prize 2015 + 2016 and the German Design Award 2022 for the Shanghai Jiuguang Centre, the office made it into the 100 most influential architects and interior designers in China in AD Magazine in 2023.
