Waterproofing made of plastic-modified bitumen thick coating (PMBC)

Plastic-modified bitumen thick coatings (abbreviation: PMBC; until 2017 KMB), also known as thick coatings, are common and easy-to-process waterproofing compounds that can be rolled or sprayed and can be used for all water exposure classes up to an immersion depth of 3 m (i.e. not with water exposure class W2.2-E!). Thick coatings are solvent-free, highly flexible, stretchable and crack-bridging.

PMBC can be applied to basement walls and foundation ledges and are also suitable for gluing perimeter insulation. They are offered in one (1k) or two-component (2k) versions.
