Afterflow element

In view of the continuous improvement of the thermal insulation and tightness of buildings, sufficient and energy-efficient ventilation is essential to ensure good air quality and to be able to avoid structural damage.

The following installation situations are usually suitable for afterflow elements for the outside air supply:

  • in the window reveal
  • in the wall
  • in the roller shutter box
  • in the window window frame

In most cases, afterflow elements contain additional filters against dust, pollen and insects.

DIN 1946-6 regulates the "free and fan-assisted ventilation of apartments and similarly used room groups".
