An installation level is a construction level in which building services installations such as electrical and water pipes as well as ventilation and heating installations can be laid.
The installation level is usually designed as a component layer on the inside of the outer wall and is used in particular in timber frame construction
in order not to damage the internal airtightness layer (vapour barrier/vapour barrier).
If no ventilation system needs to be installed, a thickness of 60-80mm is sufficient for the installation of common installations from the electrical, water and heating trades.
When using a ventilation system, the installation level must be adjusted accordingly.
