Mineral waterproofing slurries (abbreviation: MDS) consist of cement, aggregates and other additives as one- (1k) or two-component (2k) building materials. There are crack-bridging and non-crack-bridging MDS.
For use as waterproofing in accordance with DIN 18533-3, only crack-bridging MDS with a crack bridging of at least 0.4 mm may be used. The application is limited to the water action classes W1-E (soil moisture and non-pressing water for floor slabs and walls in contact with the ground) and W4-E (wall plinth).
