Closed enclosure

Enclosures are installations on or along the property boundary that spatially demarcate a property in whole or in part. A closed fence usually does not allow a view, such as walls, wooden or plastic walls. Smaller viewing areas, such as windows or grilles, in predominantly closed walls are not taken into account.

From a height of approx. 1.70 m, closed enclosures are also referred to as privacy walls or fences. With the appropriate structure and material, closed fences can also function as noise barriers.
