Perimeter insulation, permissible compressive stress

The design value of the maximum permissible compressive stress fcd describes the pressure at which the insulation may be loaded from the floor or foundation slab (including live loads) (< 2% in the case of compression), provided that it is used as load-bearing insulation and is approved as such under building law. This value is the decisive parameter for static calculations. It can differ for single or multi-layer installation .
