fermacell® Gypsum Fibre Board Vapor

Even with the original fermacell^® gypsum fibre board, airtightness layers can be produced in accordance with DIN 4108-7. The gypsum fibre board Vapor goes one step further: a special lamination applied to the back of the board reduces the water vapour permeability to such an extent that additional vapour-retarding layers in outer wall constructions are no longer required. At the same time, the excellent properties of fermacell^® gypsum fibre board are retained as a building biologically harmless, universally applicable building, fire protection and damp-proof board.

An sd value of > 3 m enables fermacell gypsum fibre board Vapor to be used as internal planking or cladding for all typical timber constructions. These include:

• Exterior wall constructions with or without installation level arranged on the room side and on the outside with suitable direct planking or curtain façade – e.g. with fermacell^® Powerpanel or approved external thermal insulation composite systems
• Ceiling and roof constructions
