Hardie® VL Plank façade cladding is an 11 mm thick, weather-resistant panel made of fibre cement. James Hardie® Fibre Cement consists of Portland cement, sand, cellulose, water and selected additives.

Application:

Curtain-walled, rear-ventilated façade cladding of residential buildings and small commercial buildings, can be used both in façade renovations and in new construction. To complement this, there are metal trims, HardiePlankTM MetalTrimTM for finishing exterior and interior corners, door and window frames. Hardie® VL Plank façade cladding can be attached to a wooden substructure with the specially developed HardiePlank® screws.

Approval:

  • No approval required according to Model Administrative Regulation Technical Building Rules (MVVTB) of the German Institute for Building Technology, point D 2.2.2.1
  • Building material class according to EN 13501-1: non-combustible A2, s1-d0
  • fibre cement panels according to DIN EN 12467 - Class 2, Category A

Easy workability:

  • No pre-drilling of the panels onto the wooden substructure necessary
  • Cutting with HardieBladeTM saw blade (suitable for most corded or battery-powered circular saws)
