10-year warranty

SP525 is part of our i3 waterproofing system and can therefore be combined with many other waterproofing products. For waterproofing with our i3 system, we offer a 10-year functional warranty (see data sheet).

Design (more detailed information can be found in the data sheet)

  • The adhesive surfaces must be clean, i.e. dust-free, grease-free, load-bearing and air-dry.
  • Check compatibility with the building materials used (see data sheet).
  • Connection joints are to be backfilled to the correct joint depth with closed-cell illbruck PR102 PE round cord. In the case of joints with a rigid joint base, differently shaped backfill materials are permitted in exceptional cases (e.g. elastocell tape or PE release films).
  • Priming of the adhesive surfaces (illbruck AT140 primer on porous substrates or illbruck AT150 on non-absorbent or smooth substrates).
  • Masking the edges of the joints with a suitable adhesive tape is recommended.
  • Insert SP525 evenly into the joint without air bubbles and smooth the surface within the skin formation time with AA300 Smoothing Agent Concentrate or AA301 Smoothing Agent Spray.
  • Contamination by smoothing agents must be avoided or washed off immediately with water.
  • Then remove used masking tape immediately.
