Description

TP001 is a compressed joint sealing tape for the internal sealing of window connections (BG R). The tape is sewn into a foil so that it is activated at the desired time via a tear strip. TP001 is often used for renovation measures (so-called window replacement).

The waterproofing can be applied in advance at the factory. On the other hand, TP001 can also be used for subsequent window sealing according to the recognised rules of technology.

10 years warranty

TP001 is part of our i3 waterproofing system and can therefore be combined with many other waterproofing products. For waterproofing with our i3 system, we offer a 10-year functional warranty (see data sheet).

Execution (more detailed information can be found in the data sheet)

  • The planning of the joint dimension and gapless connections of the airtightness level
  • In the case of unevenness and distortions in the reveal surface, a smooth line may have to be made in the sealing area of the tape.
  • Select the appropriate band dimension from the table (datasheet).
  • TP001 is usually glued on before the window is installed and placed with the window in the reveal.
  • At temperatures above 20°C and below 8°C, the rising behavior of the belt can accelerate or slow down, if necessary the belt must be stored accordingly.
  • The ends of the ribbon and the corners of the strip are bluntly pushed.
  • After window installation, the built-in, compressed sealing tape is activated by separating the protruding film.
  • The joint is then optically sealed (plaster, wall cladding, performance or similar).
