Description

ME500 is a moisture-variable film for waterproofing work in the area of windows and façades on almost any substrate. Due to its moisture-variable properties, it can be used both indoors and outdoors (no risk of confusion) and meets the recommendations of the RAL Quality Assurance Association FDKS.

ME500 is a premium product that is used for airtight and driving rain-proof sealing of joints and connections for windows and facades. Four variants of ME500 ensure that a suitable film is always available for various types of installation and construction site situations (Flex - with movement reserve, EW - one- and reciprocal self-adhesive, EW+ - particularly strong self-adhesive, piping - mechanical attachment to the window frame).

Various options are available for foil bonding/attachment to the window frame and wall (self-adhesive, butyl strips, piping, plastered grilles, foil adhesives).

Material: Composite of a moisture-variable functional membrane with spunbond fabric and a self-adhesive or EPDM piping for attachment to the frame.

ME500 is part of our i3 waterproofing system and can therefore be combined with many other waterproofing products. For waterproofing with our i3 system, we offer a 10-year functional warranty (see data sheet).

The planning of the joint dimension (materials and movements must be taken into account)
Above all, the adhesive surfaces must be dry and free of oil, grease, dust or other anti-adhesive components.
Roll carefully with a pressure roller.
In principle, the foil must be installed without tension.
The foil can be plastered over with commercially available mortars or painted over with architectural dispersion paints - the foil must then always be processed in such a way that the imprint is legible.
