In summer, automatically controlled shutters ensure that the air conditioning does not have to be switched on and the rooms remain pleasantly cool. In addition, a completely external front-end box does not create any cavities and thus no thermal bridges. This significantly improves the thermal insulation of the building. Roll-formed vs. extruded
heroal roller shutter rods can be supplied both roll-formed and extruded. In roll forming, aluminium strips are sent through rollers arranged one after the other and brought piece by piece into the desired shape of the roller door rod. This roll-formed rod has a particularly high wind load resistance compared to the extruded rod. Extruded profiles are made from an aluminium press block, which is pressed through a pressing tool after heating. This results in a strand in the desired shape of the roller shutter rod with a particularly high material thickness. The resulting increased stability and robustness that the rod and thus the roller shutter receive should be emphasized. In addition, compared to roll-formed roller shutter rods, they are coated with heroal hwr powder coating. An extruded rod is particularly useful when increased safety or great stability is desired.
