Description

The starting material, e.g. titanium nitride, is brought into gaseous form using physical processes, then led to the substrate to be coated (such as stainless steel sheet), where it condenses and forms the coating.

TiN has a high reflectivity for infrared radiation, its reflection spectrum is similar to that of gold. Titanium nitride is not a hazardous substance in the sense of the EC directives and does not require labelling. It is classified as not hazardous to water.
