Technical Information

Advantages:

  • Virtually free of thermal bridges – due to extremely low heat transfer coefficient
  • High thermal insulation – meets the requirements of the current EnEV
  • Variable thermal insulation thicknesses up to 345 mm
  • Use of all E clip types and heights
  • Excellent sound insulation values up to R'w = 50 dB (A), e after roof structure
  • Low weight – predestined for large

spans Applications:

  • For construction projects with high design requirements
  • Ideal for covering complete building envelopes
  • For normal acoustic requirements
  • High strength and low dead load – very suitable for large spans and old roof renovation
  • Track
  • lengths unjointed over 100 m and more for production on site
  • Flexibly adaptable to any floor plan, building geometry and size

Thermal break:

The design principle of the Kalzip DuoPlus E and Kalzip Duo E roof structures consists of the thermal separation of the outer roof covering and the inner supporting shell. The common constructions are possible as a load-bearing shell, to which a suitable vapour barrier is applied. A layer of non-slip mineral wool or PIR/PUR insulation boards in thicknesses of 100 or 140 mm is used as a continuous thermal break.

The specially developed swivel clip rail E is attached to this thermal insulation in the steel trapezoidal profile subshell or wooden substructure by means of approved connecting elements. This swivel clip rail E has the task of dissipating the external load from the clip onto the thermal insulation and the substructure underneath.
