KS Chamfer Stones

If chamfer stones (solid bricks with a hole content < 15%) are used for load-bearing masonry, the bevel width must not exceed 7 mm and the planned contact width to be mortared must > be 115 mm. These requirements are not imposed on KS chamfer stones used for non-load-bearing masonry (e.g. non-load-bearing internal partition walls in industrial construction).

For use in the facing shell of double-shell masonry (requirements for frost resistance according to DIN V 106-2), the contact width must be > 90 mm.

KS chamfer stones are manufactured on the end surfaces with a tongue and groove system. In addition to the standard stone, special supplementary formats (end, pass and corner stones) as well as U-stones are also offered.

Weather-stressed walls (driving rain!) and walls with airtightness requirements made of bevel stones must always be made with mortared butt joints.

In just one step, an attractive two-sided exposed masonry is created, which can dispense with subsequent grouting and plaster.
