Panel properties:

The fermacell® Firepanel A1 fire protection board consists mainly of gypsum and paper fibres, which are obtained from paper in a recycling process. The even better fire protection properties for the building material and the component are made possible by the extended formulation and the replacement of a certain proportion of paper fibres with non-combustible material.

The natural raw materials are mixed and, after adding water – without any other binders – pressed under high pressure into stable plates, dried, hydrophobic on both sides and cut to the required formats.

The gypsum reacts with water, penetrating and enveloping the fibers. This is due to the high stability and non-combustibility of the highest European building material class A1 according to DIN EN 13501-1 and national DIN 4102-1.

Due to its material composition, the fermacell Firepanel A1 is a fire protection, construction and moisture-proof board at the same time, which has homogeneous board properties on both sides. It offers all the known properties of fermacell gypsum fibre board in drywall construction with better fire protection properties for the building material and the component.

Areas of application:

The fermacell® Firepanel A1 offers all the known properties of fermacell® gypsum fibre board for drywall construction. It is used indoors with even more powerful fire protection properties for the building material and the component.

Areas of application include:

  • Mounting walls with metal substructure
  • Shaft walls and cladding
  • Suspended ceilings Particularly

cost-effective is the fact that fermacell® Firepanel A1 gypsum fibre boards requires only one type of board for finishing, fire protection and damp rooms.

Processing:

Due to the fibre-reinforced homogeneous structure, the fermacell® Firepanel A1 gypsum fibre boards can be processed and processed without any problems. No special tools are required. Processing is carried out with conventional woodworking machines. Carbide-tipped tools should generally be used for cutting.
