Ideal for use in office and administrative buildings as well as in private residential buildings: the Schüco CTB (Concealed Toughened Blind) sun protection system as an attached solution on Schüco AWS window systems . The sun protection is installed above the window in an insulated box and thus fits perfectly into the building's appearance. It is not visible when fully raised due to the integration into the upper box.
The electrically operated curtain made of aluminium micro-slats enables optimum shading while at the same time providing the best possible external cover thanks to its high transparency.
For a harmonious façade appearance, the slats can be perfectly harmonized with the exterior design of the building envelope thanks to anodizable surfaces.
The highly stable system withstands extreme wind loads and can also be used in tall buildings with almost no wind – with top performance in terms of efficiency. The total energy transmittance of the integrated sun protection system was determined depending on the height of the sun: At a sun position altitude of 50° in summer, less than 2 percent of the solar energy enters the room. The rooms heat up less and the energy costs for air conditioning are effectively reduced.
