Schüco Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV)

Schüco International KG

Description

From 2021, according to the current EU Building Directive "2010/31/EU", every new building in the EU member states must be built as a "nearly zero energy building" with a largely balanced overall energy efficiency. In this context, the Federal Government is pursuing the goal of achieving a climate-neutral building stock for Germany by 2050.

Against this background, the Schüco BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) photovoltaic modules offer efficient solutions for sustainable, future-proof properties that pay off for investors, operators and the environment.

Within the framework of the German Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV), the electricity generated in the modules may be deducted from the calculated electricity demand – in this way, the lowest possible primary energy requirement is realized.

The use of BIPV modules in the façade is therefore not only an externally visible sign of environmental protection and sustainability, but also an important building block for nearly zero, zero or plus-energy buildings.

More Over

In particular, due to the imminent implementation of the "EU Building Directive" 2010/31/EU regarding the energy performance of buildings in the EU member states by 2020, the use of BIPV for the generation of renewable energy in buildings is forward-looking. Within the framework of the German Energy Saving Ordinance, the electricity generated in the modules may be deducted from the calculated electricity demand - in this way, the lowest possible primary energy demand is realized. The use of BIPV modules in the façade is therefore not only an outwardly visible sign of environmental protection and sustainability, but also an important, but also an important building block for low-, zero or plus-energy buildings.

Technical Information

  • Black cell connectors, black foil and coloured cells for a wide range of opaque or semi-transparent BIPV modular optics
  • Variably configurable interior and exterior view
  • BIPV modules can be flexibly designed in terms of size, format and design: with single glass, laminated glass and variants with triple insulating glass or safety glass
  • Different crystal structures: polycrystalline cells with iridescent structure, monocrystalline cells with a uniform surface
  • Wide range of applications in Schüco systems: cold facades, cold-warm façades, warm facades, illuminated roof constructions, canopies, sun protection, balconies, conservatories
