Sowing
The seed mixture can be applied all year round on open substrates. Best results are achieved when sowing in the period from the end of March to the beginning of May. Apply the seed mixture evenly in two steps crosswise. In case of extreme compaction on the surface, please roughen the substrate slightly, but do not include the seed mixture. Species are light germinators.
Care
In the first growing season, no further maintenance measures are usually required apart from the removal of unwanted foreign growth and, if necessary, the reseeding of bald spots. From the second growing season, we also recommend pruning with brushcutters from the end of June. Cut height at least 10 cm, remove clippings. In the case of strongly proliferating crops, another pruning can be carried out at the end of September, old. both cuts also as deep cleaning cuts.
Nutrients
For the target vegetation of the seed mixture, a minimal basic supply of nutrients is advantageous. In the first growing season, therefore, no further fertiliser is required on freshly installed Bauder substrates. From the second growing season, check the nutrient supply and only fertilise in small doses if there is a clearly recognisable nutrient deficiency.
Layer thicknesses:
If the static conditions allow it, the vegetation can also be made visually varied and ecologically valuable by changing layer thicknesses in a range of approx. 5 - 15 cm.
